GateCheck ("we", "us") is operated by Jexis Enterprises, LLC. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

What we collect

  • Account info: your name, email address, and sign-in identity (Apple, Google, or email).
  • Traveler profile: home airport and travel preferences (TSA PreCheck, CLEAR, bags, arrival mode).
  • Timing reports: when you run the timer — the airport, start/stop times, optional lap times, and your trip's traveler variables.
  • Phone number (optional): only if you verify it to enable text alerts, or a group organizer adds you with your permission. Stored only after verification or opt-in.
  • Group data: group names, membership, and travel-day status updates you share.
  • Device data: push notification token; crash reports (via Sentry); product analytics events like "timer started" (via PostHog).
  • Purchases: subscription status via RevenueCat and the app stores. We never see your payment details.

What we do NOT collect

  • No precise location. GateCheck never tracks GPS; you pick the airport manually.
  • No contacts upload. Adding a text-only group member sends only that number to our SMS provider.
  • No advertising identifiers, no data sales, no third-party ad networks.

How timing data is used

Your timing reports power airport wait-time statistics. In stats and the live feed they are anonymized: other users see traveler variables, duration, and an approximate time — never your name, account, or exact timestamps.

Text messages

If you verify your phone (or someone adds you to a group with your permission), we send only key alerts: verification codes, group invites, time-to-leave reminders, and "through security" updates. Message frequency varies with your travel activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out permanently, or HELP for help. SMS is delivered via Twilio.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent are used solely to deliver the alerts described above and are never sold, rented, or shared for marketing. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.

Service providers

Supabase (database and authentication), Expo (push notifications), Twilio (SMS), RevenueCat (subscriptions), Sentry (crash reporting), PostHog (analytics). Each receives only what it needs to provide its service.

Retention & deletion

Delete your account anytime in Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile, trips, and personal data; past timing reports are retained anonymously (no link to you) so airport statistics stay accurate. Backups purge on a rolling 30-day cycle.

Children

GateCheck is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
